Amanda’s practice includes labor and employment counseling and litigation. Prior to joining Foley & Foley, Amanda served as legal counsel for Cape Cod Healthcare, Inc., which was recently rated one of Massachusetts Top 100 Employers. She has represented management in a variety of labor and employment matters including: litigation of cases regarding race, gender and disability discrimination before the MCAD and EEOC; unfair labor practice proceedings before the NLRB; collective bargaining negotiations; claims of sexual harassment; arbitrations; union grievance processing and counseling; and unemployment hearings.
She has served as lead investigator in several dozen workplace investigations including sexual harassment, HIPAA compliance, misconduct and fitness for duty assessments.
Amanda has developed and conducted corporate management and supervisory training programs regarding union contract interpretation and application, compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws and avoidance of discrimination in the workplace.
Affiliations and Bar Admissions
- Received a Public Interest Fellowship to intern at New York City’s Legal Aid Society.
- While at New York Law School, she was a member of the Legal Association for Women, Public Interest Coalition and the Music, Entertainment and Sports Law Association.
- Amanda submitted articles for publication in New York Law School’s City Law Journal and was the Editor of the New York Law School’s City Regs bi-weekly publication.
- During law school, Amanda worked for the Center for New York City Law where she organized a monthly speaker series and interned with Judge Shirley Werner Kornriech of the Civil Court of New York.
- Amanda was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2003 and recently passed the New York Bar exam.
